Education

• I support fully funding public education and oppose tax dollar money being used for vouchers and similar programs that subsidize private education.

• I believe that members of the State Board Of Education, chosen by voters to develop curriculum, should not be micromanaged by Texas legislators, especially when it's done to score political points.

Human Rights

• With the rise in violent attacks, I believe in enhanced monitoring and prosecution of hate crimes and domestic terrorism.

• We deserve the freedom to go to church, school, and parades without fear. When I am in the Senate, I will support common sense gun laws to make our communities safer.

Health Care

• The Texas legislature has no business telling families and doctors what they can and cannot do when it comes to personal health care. I strongly support a woman’s freedom to choose and transgender people’s freedom of gender-affirming care.

• I oppose civil or criminal penalties for individuals or groups who provide counseling, facilitate travel, or otherwise provide non-medical assistance to people seeking health care, including people seeking abortions or people seeking gender-affirming care. Texans deserve the right to travel for medical treatment without fear of persecution.

• No parent should have to choose between paying for their child’s medicine or paying bills, yet that is the reality for so many Texans. I support affordable and accessible healthcare for all Texans.

Separation of Church and State

• This country was founded on religious freedom and I will uphold the Constitutional right of freedom for individuals to practice their own religious beliefs without interference or endorsement from the government.

• I oppose legislation allowing public education programming to advance or inhibit particular religious beliefs.
